Use Multiple Blue USB Mics Simultaneously with the Latest Sherpa App Update

It’s now easier than ever to use multiple USB mics at once (including Yeti, Yeti Nano, Snowball and Snowball iCE), thanks to the latest update of the Sherpa app!

For those who aren’t familiar, Sherpa is a new desktop control app for Blue USB mics, which launched with Yeti Nano. Sherpa allows you to control parameters such as microphone gain, mute, and headphone volume right from your desktop, and even update your microphone firmware directly from the app.

The new Sherpa update allows multiple Blue USB mics to be used at the same time with ease, so you can record multiple instruments, use separate microphones for podcast hosts and guests, or stream live with a friend. The new update makes Yeti, Snowball, and Snowball iCE compatible with Sherpa, giving you full desktop control mic parameters and the ability to seamlessly use multiple Blue USB mics simultaneously.

The best part is that it’s extremely easy to use. The Sherpa installer for Windows or Mac operating systems can be downloaded here and set up in seconds.

If you already have Sherpa installed, plug in your USB mic and you will receive an update prompt for the new version. If you don’t receive a prompt, your mic’s firmware is up to date.

After updating, there’s just one more step involved: check out our FAQ on recording with multiple USB mics to learn how to set up an aggregate device (for Mac OS) or use ASIO4All (PC users) to make both mics available for recording. Next, simply plug in your mics and Sherpa will automatically recognize them and display each mic’s unique serial number.

You are now ready to select and record with multiple mics in your recording program or streaming platform!
